Barça Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
