Franchise leads Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are confirmed to appear in the upcoming Hunger Games instalment, Sunrise on the Reaping.
It has been confirmed that original actors Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to their iconic characters in the next chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is currently in production.
A Significant Reunion for Fans
Lawrence and Hutcherson are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, respectively. It is believed their appearance will likely occur in a brief glimpse ahead, considering the main film series concluded with their characters married and with children.
This represents the sixth film in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is based upon a 2025 novel by series creator Suzanne Collins. It will be the second prequel film after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. For this project is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed most of the previous films in the series.
